This is my 5-Minute Bruschetta Dip recipe. We've got creamy whipped cream cheese and feta topped with garlicky basil tomatoes with olive oil and a balsamic glaze. Served up with toasted slices of baguette, it's the perfect appetizer to serve at a dinner party!

This cheesy bruschetta dip is a super simple appetiser that guests always absolutely love! Any leftovers can be used as a pasta sauce FYI! If you're looking to turn this recipe into a more substantial meal, then check out my bruschetta chicken bake, perfect served with pasta, bread, or rice!

Another dip you've got to try is my roasted red pepper hummus which is great with pitta, carrots, or cucumber!

A few more recipes that I think you'll love are my burnt Basque chilli cheesecake, deep-fried stuffed olives, and feta spring flatbreads.

Texture: Thick creaminess from the whipped cream cheese and feta, with slightly crunchy soft cherry tomatoes.

Taste: sweet, tangy, tart, and creamy.

Ease: Very simple. This dish will take you 5 minutes to make.

Top Tips: 1. Use good quality olive oil and fresh cherry tomatoes, this will enhance the flavour of the dish 2. To make this in advance, store the whipped cheese and the basil garlic tomatoes in separate containers until you're ready to serve.

Would I make this again? For sure! It's my friends' favourite appetiser!

    Ingredients & Substitutions

Cream cheese: full fat cream cheese is what I always go for, for this recipe! If you don't want to use cream cheese, you could use ricotta. For a vegan alternative, just go for your favourite non-dairy version!

Feta: it's tangy and adds the perfect flavour profile to our bruschetta dip. If you don't want to use feta, goats cheese is also a great alternative, or boursin. Once again, feel free to go for a vegan feta if you're plant-based.

Olive oil: I love using extra virgin olive oil, but any good quality olive oil will do!

Lemon: fresh lemon zest adds a tang to the dip that balances out the flavours.

    Cherry tomatoes: or plum tomatoes!

Garlic: fresh garlic is best! You can also use garlic powder.

Basil: fresh basil is perfect for the tomato element of our bruschetta dip. If you don't have basil, parsley or dill are good alternatives.

Balsamic glaze: adds a sweet acidity to the dish. If you don't have balsamic glaze, simply combine 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar with ¼ teaspoon sugar and 1 tablespoon olive oil and drizzle it over your dip.

The full list of ingredients and quantities is at the bottom of this blog in the recipe card!

    What to do with leftovers

Storage: Either you can place the whipped cheese and the tomatoes into the same Tupperware. Or, if you're looking to prep the bruschetta dip in advance and serve up at a later date, then store the whipped cream cheese in one container and the basil tomatoes in another. Store in the fridge for up to 3 days.
