- 1 kg chicken thighs (with skin and bones)
- 200g g Greek yogurt
- ½ tablespoon chilli flakes
- ½ tablespoon paprika
- ½ tablespoon mixed herbs
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- ½ lemon, juiced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
First up, you want to add your chicken thighs into a bowl. Top with your Greek yogurt, paprika, chilli flakes, mixed herbs, garlic, lemon, olive oil, a big pinch of flaky salt, and a grind of pepper.
Mix the chicken in with your ingredients thoroughly until all the chicken is well covered. Cover with plastic wrap and set it aside for 30 minutes or up to 24 hours in the fridge.
Once you're ready to cook your chicken, place it in the air fryer skin side up and cook for 30 minutes at 170C/340F, flipping over the chicken after 20 minutes. This should give you a crispy skin and perfectly juicy chicken.
Every air fryer is different so make sure to adjust the temperature and cooking time if your air fryer cooks the chicken faster or slower. Once it's cooked all the way through, remove and serve up with your side of choice and enjoy!

To double quantity: This recipe can be doubled to make the dish for 6-8 people.
Tips:
- The longer you leave the chicken to marinate in the Greek yogurt sauce, the more tender and juicy and flavourful the chicken will be.
- This is such a great dish to meal prep, so if you're wanting to double up on quantities, go for it and freeze half for another day.
- All air fryers are different, so although I've recommended air frying for 30 minutes at 170C/320F, flipping over the chicken at 20 minutes, you know your air fryer best, so if it has a tendency to overheat, then you might be better going down 10C for the 30 minute duration.
Storage: Store any leftover Air Fryer Greek Yogurt Chicken in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. Ensure the chicken is cooled before storing.
Freezing: While chicken can be frozen, the texture may change slightly. If you plan to freeze, separate the chicken into portions and place them in a freezer-safe container or resealable plastic bags. Label with the date. When defrosting, place the chicken in the fridge overnight to thaw all the way through, then follow the reheating steps below.
Reheating: To reheat, use the air fryer for a quick and convenient option. Preheat the air fryer, place the chicken inside, and cook at a lower temperature (160C/320F) to avoid drying it out. Alternatively, you can use a conventional oven or stovetop and follow the same procedure as with the air fryer, just cook it for longer. Ensure the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) to ensure it's safely reheated.
