Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoon butter salted
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 2 tablespoon gochujang
  • 300ml cream light or single
  • ½ tablespoon oregano dried
  • Fresh parsley small bunch, finely chopped
  • Parmesan grated

If served with pasta

  • 150g linguine cooked to packet instructions

Instructions

  • Place a non-stick frying pan on medium heat and add in your butter. Once it's melted, follow in with your minced garlic and fry for a couple of minutes until fragrant.
  • Add in the gochujang paste followed by your cream. Give it a good stir and reduce to low heat.
  • Add in your oregano and season with salt and pepper according to your preference.
  • Transfer your cooked pasta (save some pasta water) into the sauce and then sprinkle in some freshly chopped parsley and grate in your parmesan. Give everything a good mix until well combined. Feel free to add in some pasta water to loosen up the sauce. Then divide between your serving plates and enjoy!

Notes

Step-by-Step Photos: My blog post includes helpful step-by-step photos to help guide you through making this recipe.
To double quantity: This recipe can be doubled to make the dish for 4 people.
Storage: Place leftover spicy alfredo sauce in an airtight container. If you've got pasta with it too, then add it in. Place in the fridge for up to 3 days.
Freezing: Once again, place any spicy alfredo sauce into an airtight container and into the freezer and store for up to 3 months. Leave to thaw in the fridge overnight when you're wanting to eat it. The texture may have changed slightly.
Reheating: When reheating the sauce, I'd recommend doing it on the stovetop (hob), in a pan on low heat. Pour in the sauce and then add a splash of water, milk, or cream to loosen the sauce. Season according to your preferences and serve up with whatever you fancy!
